The eBay Classifieds Group joined the NLNOG RING today. The eBay Classifieds Group - AS41552 - is home to some of the best visited websites in Western Europe, so for access providers their participation provides valuable data on how customers will perceive their internet experience.

Oxilion - AS48539 - based in the east of the Netherlands has joined the NLNOG RING today. Oxilion provides various internet related services such as hosting and datacenter services with an emphasis on green resource utilization and environmental awareness.

The latest member of the NLNOG RING is Nedzone. Nedzone - AS25459 - specializes in colocation services in the Brabant region. We are pleased to see the NLNOG RING spread out over the Netherlands, thanks to the participation of regional players like Nedzone.

XS4ALL - AS3265 participates in the NLNOG RING. XS4ALL, one of the oldest Internet Service Providers in the Netherlands, made a machine available today. Because of the large userbase behind their access network, their participation is a valuable addition.

Today IC-Hosting became part of the NLNOG Ring. IC-Hosting (AS49625), based in Winschoten, specializes in hosted streaming media such as online radio stations.

NXS Internet (AS16237) is the latest organisation to join the NLNOG RING Project. A machine has been made available at nxs01.ring.nlnog.net.
NXS specializes in managed hosting and the public sector thus their participation offers valuable troubleshooting opportunities.
Leaseweb (AS16265) has made a server available to the NLNOG RING Project. Leaseweb, ranking as one of the bigger hosting companies in the Netherlands, is a great addition to the ring.

Previder - AS20847, a Dutch service provider based in the south-west of the Netherlands has decided to join the NLNOG RING and provided a machine named “previder01.ring.nlnog.net”. Previder (formely known as Introweb) was one of the first dutch internet providers to make IPv6 available on their DSL access network to regular end-users.
We are happy with their contribution and participation!
UPDATE: Due to scalability issues with the smokeping master/slave architecture we had to abandon this type of measurements in early 2013.
A smokeping Master/Slave setup has been created to graph latency between all nodes thus graphing nodes in context of a torus. With this smokeping setup problems on the Dutch internet exchanges such as AMS-IX or NL-IX are easily made visible. Also malfunctioning route-servers can be spotted.
