IUCC - AS 378 - joined the RING today. IUCC was established in 1984 by Israel’s eight universities and supported by the Planning and Budgeting Committee of the Council for Higher Education. It operates as a non-profit organization. IUCC deals with communication infrastructures, digital information services, joint procurement, learning technologies and grid computing infrastructures and also promotes cooperation in these areas among its member institutions, and between research institutes and organizations active in research and education which share these common interests. IUCC implements, operates and maintains the National Research and Education Network (NREN) of Israel and in its sphere of activities, manages and provides a wide range of services.
